The first digital nature auction, organized by GlobeGuards and Venduehuis Den Haag, took place on 15 May 2021. It was a very successful evening, led by auctioneer Frank Buunk, who is also a board member of GlobeGuards.
In total, 35 items have been auctioned, and the revenue will directly support various projects of GlobeGuards member organizations. Leo Foundation also offered two items to be auctioned. The first item concerned a goshawk-excursion with raptor researcher Ralph Buij, which will be supporting the Lion Guards in Waza National Parc in Cameroon. The second auction item was a ‘a visit behind the scenes of the predators at Burgers´ Zoo’, in support of the Bhopal Tiger Program in India.
We are very pleased to report that with this auction we raised 1000 Euros for the Lion Guards in Cameroon and 2000 Euros for the Bhopal Tiger program in India.
Leo Foundation is grateful to GlobeGuards and Venduehuis Den Haag for having made this auction such a success!
