End 2017, Leo Foundation received the good news that the proceeds of the National Geographic Junior school diary brought in €6019,39. This money will be used to support our lion guards programme in Cameroon.
Every year, G.J. Media and Blink publish the National Geographic Junior school diary, sponsoring another charity organisation. For the 2017/2018 edition, the Leo Foundation was selected. It was agreed that the Leo Foundation would receive 10% of the revenues of the school agenda for our Lion Guard project.
We are very happy with this donation. The funds have been transferred to our partner organisation in Cameroon (CEDC in Maroua) and are currently used by our lion guards to monitor large carnivores for another year and assist local communities to prevent and mitigate conflicts.
We would like to thank everybody who has bought the agenda and supported our activities in this way.
